Position: Embroidery Artist (Large-Scale, Non-Automated Work)
Hours: Full-time, ~40 hours per week
Location: Remote (work-from-home) after initial training
Schedule: Flexible, deadlines-based
Compensation:
$15/hr during training
$17–$18/hr after completion of first sellable piece (assessment-based)
About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled artist to execute large-scale, non-automated embroidered artworks using a sewing machine. You’ll be trained directly in the artist’s specialized techniques, including:
Free-motion embroidery
Fabric appliqué
Layered textile illustration and thread painting
This position requires advanced artistic ability, strong sewing proficiency, and a passion for creating detailed, expressive textile artwork.

Has a strong work ethic and can work independently
Communicates clearly and professionally
Has acute attention to detail and can maintain consistent quality
Takes direction well
Can reliably meet deadlines
Has both artistic skill and sewing ability, with artistic ability weighed most heavily
Training Structure
5 days of in-person training in the studio
Followed by 1–2 weeks at home working on practice pieces, or until techniques are mastered
Once your first sellable piece is completed and evaluated, your regular pay rate will be set ($17–18/hr depending on skill)
