The house is 2400 square feet and has 3 large bedrooms -- two of the bedrooms have king-size beds and the third bedroom has a queen-size bed. The home also has 2 full baths (both with shower and tub), as well as a living room with a pullout sofa for extra sleeping space, so it comfortably sleeps 7 or 8. The home also a spacious second seating area, an office, a dining room, and a large eat-in kitchen with gorgeous stone counter tops, stainless steel appliances, an island with stools for dining, and a loveseat for chatting and relaxing. The kitchen opens out onto the large second floor deck with a table and chairs, plus a grill. Relax with your morning coffee, a cocktail, or meals as you look out over the enormous, lush, very private backyard.
The house has many wonderful historical features like fireplaces in almost every room, 11-foot ceilings, plaster ceiling medallions, refinished original hardwood floors, and beautiful arts and crafts windows. Lovely New Orleans historic charm in the most exclusive neighborhood, with the best the city has to offer so close by!
You'll have plenty of off-street parking in the long driveway for 3-4 cars, in addition to ample street parking right in front of the house. The home has a great central heat/AC system, and you'll never have to worry about storms or power outages because the house comes equipped with a whole home generator that automatically turns on and keep everything in the house running smoothly, including the A/C, heat, and all the appliances. If the power goes out (and it's New Orleans, so you never know! Always good to be prepared), you literally won't notice because the generator will keep everything in the house running completely normally.
Pets welcome on a case by case basis, and there is a dog door that leads to the enormous backyard.
