*** Never used LONG LEAF PINE shiplap siding, ALL architectural specified (STANDARD OR PRIME ) PREMIUM GRADE, EXTRA DOUBLE KILN DRIED Kiln Dried to BELOW 8%, to get Premium # 1, the mill starts with longer lengths but has to cut of the defects in the process. This allows for 100% usage, no warped, twisted, side to side bends, no holes, and poorly milled edges, just Premium # 1 shiplap siding remains
Grades and moisture content make a Hugh difference:
1.) Kiln dried to only 10% to 14% will likely continue to warp, twist and crack once installed, dried to EXTRA DOUBLE KILN BELOW 8% PRODUCED BY FARMHOUSE PLANKS will NOT
2.) PRO-GRADE Premium # 1 (HIGHEST GRADE PRODUCED) PRODUCED BY FARMHOUSE PLANKS is two to 3 grades higher than sold at lumber yards and home centers. The Premium # 1 is 100% usable, no warps, twist, cracks, holes, just about as perfect of a board as is manufactured.
LONG LEAF PINE is more stable than inferior white or other pines, meaning your shiplap will look the same years after installing
**1.) *1.) Letting the last TWO pallets of 7 1/2 foot long pallets of Premium # 1 grade go in full pallet with 1,050 square feet ( 336 seven and 1/2 foot long boards per pallet) at 73 1/3 cents per linear foot or $1.76 per square foot ($6.00 per board) = $1,848.00 per pallet OR
***** Less than full pallets in bundles with 25.00 square feet in each at 80 cents per lineal foot which is $6.00 Per board or $1.92 per square foot ( must buy at least 250 square feet )
**2.) Letting the last 6 pallets of 8 foot long pallets of Premium # 1 grade go in full pallet with 1,280 square feet each at 75 per lineal foot ( 384 eight foot boards per pallet) which is $1.80 per square foot ($6.00 per board) = $2,304.00 per pallet OR
***** Less than full pallets can let go in smaller bundles with 26.67 square feet in each at 81 1/4 cents per lineal foot which is $6.50 per board OR $1.95 per square foot ( must buy at least 267 square feet )
3.) Letting the last 2 pallets with 1,920 square feet each of 12 foot long (PRIME) PREMIUM # 1 GRADE ( HIGHEST QUALITY IN THE MARKET ) go in full pallets of 384 boards. 1,920 square feet each at 75 CENTS per lineal foot ($9.00 PER BOARD) which is $1.80 per square foot = $3,456.00 total, plus sales tax.
** Less than the full pallets, in bundles with 40 square feet in each at 81 1/4 CENTS per lineal foot which is $1.95 per square foot - $9.75 per board ( must buy at least 400 square feet which is 80 boards )
