It is the most cold-hardy satsuma hybrid tested so far, having survived temperatures as low as 9 degrees Fahrenheit at the Texas A&M Research and Extension Center test site near Overton 123. It can withstand short-term temperatures as low as 9 degrees Fahrenheit and grows successfully in zones 8 to 11 in the ground. It can also be grown as a patio plant in any USDA growing zone.
