I have the 1961 Redemptor (the Yearbook of Redemptorist Boys and Girls High School). This school was located in the Irish Channel and operated under this name from 1937 to 1980. Their nickname was the Rams. After a series of mergers, it became Redeemer-Seton High School; that school continued until it was heavily damaged in Katrina and closed.
This volume has everything you would expect in a high school yearbook. The cover is shabby but the inside is in good condition, without any writing. There are some unexpected photos. For example, on page 46, there are three photos of chemistry students injecting radioactive phosphorus into chicks and then making autoradiograms and checking which organs had the most radioactivity. I don't see any shield or protective equipment. No way this experiment would be allowed today!
I'd be happy to check whether the name and photo of your ancestor or loved one is in this yearbook. Please e-mail with your name and phone number. I will call you. Thanks.
