I have a 1952 Singer Featherweight model 221-1 sewing machine in original case. The machine is in pristine, near mint condition, and sews beautifully. Has original bobbin, Singer part 45705, and all original accessories including the case and manual. Case has two locking clasps that work, as well as two shiny and perfect working keys that lock the case. Food pedal is present and works. The foot pedal and all accessories fit into the case with the machine. The original green accessories box has a removable metal slot into which it slides.
This machine is shiny and gleaming, and seems to have been virtually unused. Original gold trim decals are present and undamaged, even along the front edge where heavy use often wears them away. All interior parts were lightly cleaned (because they were already quite clean), and machine was serviced with clear grease on the gears and Tri-Flow oil on all oil points. The light works. All original attachments that are mentioned in the accompanying manual are accounted for, as well as two original Singer screwdrivers (one large and one rare miniature screwdriver, Singer part 120378). The accessories case also included 6 extra original bobbins and 3 unused original felt spool pads. Case has original bakelite handle and is in good working condition with some exterior fading and some loose fabric on the bottom as well as one lid corner that shows slight damage (see last photo). Belt is flexible and in good condition. Price is firm.
