Site Safety and Health Officer (Belle Chasse)
The successful candidate shall be responsible for the implementation and administration of the accident prevention program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees on the project.
Five (5) years of construction safety experience or a safety and health degree or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) credentials, working knowledge of EM-385, and three (3) years construction safety experience required. Formal training required as follows:
• 30 -hour OSHA Construction Safety.
• 24-hours of formal safety training with training for competent person status for at least the following areas: excavation; scaffolding; fall protection; hazardous energy; confined space; health hazard recognition; evaluation and control of chemical, physical, and biological agents; personal protective equipment and clothing; the proper use of air monitoring instruments and air sampling methods including monitoring for ionizing radiation.
