Any other twenty-something artists moving to Nawlins this Spring?? (Marigny, Irish Channel)
cats are OK - purrr dogs are OK - wooof
I am planning on moving to New Orleans at the end of March/April 1st and am having SUCH a tough time finding a place. I am looking to move somewhere near the French Quarter (the Marigny/Irish Channel both look nice) and have a budget of about 600/month not including utilities. I'd pay up to $700 for something perfect though!
It so hard to capture sincerity in things like this but I thought I'd try:
I am a 23-year-old female writer.
I recently graduated from Emerson college with a BFA in poetry but was somehow sucked into a corporate black hole of data entry misery. It's time to put an end to this nonsense though and what better place to stop metaphorically blowing The Man than New Orleans?
I don't love New York, Prefer dogs over cats(okay with cats/is considering getting a dog upon arrival), indie punk or something sappy acoustic is good, sharp cheeses, goin' fishing, being punctual, being reasonably cleanly, Makers Mark on long days and good days and apathetic days, John Stewart, things that come from Tokyo. Frank O'Hara. Community service esp. in local schools. Late-night talking. These are all things I consider to be good things.
I'm looking to live with someone who is like minded in terms of being social, accepting, nonjudgmental, and reasonably stable. Musicians, artists, cooks, male, female, gay, straight, whoever you are as long as you are friendly and laid back is good with me! Right now I live in the Boston area but would be down to Skype. So excited to hear from you and make this move! Email me back or text me : )
