Responsibilities:
Greet Customers as they enter the store.
Thank Customers as they leave the store.
Answer Customer’s questions and provide information on special order procedures.
Insure adequate change is in cash drawers at beginning of shift.
Insure Customer is charged the correct price for all items and all items are rung up or scanned into the POS system. Cash, check or credit/debit card payments are to be processed for all transactions. Receipt is to be issued for every transaction.
Bag, box, wrap or gift wrap merchandise based on Customer’s desires.
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
Process merchandise returns and exchanges within established store policy.
Resolve customer complaints. In the absence of a satisfactory resolution, call Store Manager.
Stock shelves, insuring product pricing and shelf signing procedures are adhered to.
Maintain clear and orderly sales floor displays.
Follow established rules, regulations and dress code requirements.
Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned by the Store Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED or comparable work history.
Able to communicate clearly and pleasantly with customers, supervisors and co-workers.
Must possess basic mathematical skills and abilities.
Must possess basic merchandising skills, including the ability to communicated merchandising ideas to the Store Manager.

Basic Function:

Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Retail Services:
Assist customers. Respond to and resolve any customer complaints, requests, queries and comments.
Suggest ways to improve sales and profits. Meet sales targets, analyze figures, forecast volume and strategize.
Recruit, train supervise, motivate and review staff. Work with all appropriate parties to resolve health, safety and legal issues for the store.
Maintain stock levels. Insure store stock is replenished from warehouse stock on a regularly scheduled basis. Insure all merchandise going into, or leaving from, individual stores is properly accounted for through the use of cash register sales or transfers.
Prepare transfer documents, using Counterpoint, to transfer merchandise between stores or between stores and the warehouse.
Insure store displays are clean, neat, attractive and full at all times. Insure all merchandise is priced using signage or price stickers. Insure that all displays encourage customers to make a purchase.
Insure store checkout areas are clean, neat, attractive and full at all times. Insure staff has all supplies necessary to properly serve the customers. Insure checkout areas are conducive to impulse purchasing by customers.
Act as a liaison between staff and management.
Update items in Counterpoint, insuring item descriptions, UPC and other data contributes to efficient ordering and selling of merchandise.
Maintain security on all aspects of the retail store operation, including, but not limited to merchandise, equipment, and data.
Recommend procedures for improving the security and efficiency of store operations.
Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as directed.
Follow established rules, regulations and dress code requirements.
Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director.
Qualifications:
Must have retail management experience, including experience as a store manager. Must have a proven history of merchandising creativity. Must be capable of supervising ten employees.
