Maintenance / Construction Lead Mechanic Supervisor (New Orleans)
We are looking for a hardworking, safety minded, Team Player to help build our In-house Maintenance /Construction Dept.
He / She will be responsible for hands on repairs in addition to Supervising, coordinating, implementing, scheduling and tracking all assign work orders and special projects. This person will also assist in monitoring assigned crew members to insure duties are carried out to the fullest.
This position requires some after hour, weekend and emergency response as needed.
Review requests for work and provide a estimate of time and material required.
Schedule with customers and make for adjustments as needed.
Supervise jobs from start to completion, visit job sites as needed to maintain schedules and assuring
materials are present prior to starting work.
Comply with Co. policies and procedures.
Track weekly production reports, time sheets, changes in scope and billing
of completed work.
Develop and maintain positive working relationship with maintenance staff, customers and fellow
Support the overall company agenda to reach common goals of Department.
Assure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Identify weaknesses and strengths of self and cross train accordingly.
Hands on work in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, painting, flooring and etc.
All other duties assigned.
Have a minimum of 3-5 years as lead Mechanic experience in construction trades and
maintenance of residential and commercial properties.
Have good Time Management skills and ability to communicate effectively,
politely and thoroughly with customers.
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and basic understanding of computer
systems for work orders.
Have a good understanding of carpentry, sheet rock and painting. Have a minimum of 3-5 years
experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC methods, techniques and tools to complete
Have ability to adapt to changing environments.
Have organizational skills, multi-tasking skills high quality standards and professional appearance
Have a general understanding of building and life safety codes.
Demonstrate Leadership skills and previous Lead experience during interview process
Must have valid driver's License, Truck, Van, or SUV for gathering materials
and provide proof of insurance.
Must be able to pass pre-employment, random and post-accident drug testing.
Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees including bending,
twisting, pulling and climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
