Assistant Decorator and Art Installers (Jazz Fest)

To assist in the installation of decor in several areas of the festival including Gospel Tent, Food Heritage Stage, Cajun Cabin, VIP areas, Jazz Tent, Contemporary Crafts shade tent and any other areas that need decor. Assist in the placement of fabrics, plants, backdrops and other decor elements. Must be a team player and able to work in all weather conditions. Experience with decorating, installation and design required. Endurance for long hours in an active stressful production setting.
General Art Installer -- Signs & Décor Department

Install signs and décor pre-Festival and disassemble Festival signs and décor after the event. Must be
skilled in the use of hand and small power tools and be able to work with both hands while elevated on a ladder, scissor lift or scaffold. Must be a team player who works well with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work long hours in an active, high stress, outdoor production setting. Some heavy lifting required.
Producing the Jazz Festival involves over a month working on-site before, during and after the event. All applicants should have the ability to work at a rapid pace in a high pressure, production setting, with a positive "can do whatever it takes" attitude. Heavy lifting and stamina for long production days is required. All applicants must obtain an NOPD criminal history report before working.
