This sale is a fundraiser to help pay for several different special events that CIS will be hosting for students and these families; events include but are not limited to, Literacy Night and Family Math Night.

My husband came here to the States at the age of 17 to be near the best schools for becoming a pilot. Life takes it's twists and turns and somehow got in the way. At age 35, he is still trying to finish his licenses but we can't get approved for a loan and Federal Aid does not qualify for the FLIGHT TRAINING he needs to get through his licenses. Over the years we have managed to get him financially through to his private pilot's license but are stalled there.

If anyone out there has the means either financially to help him finish school or if someone has a plane they could work something out to have him train in it, something, anything. I really hate to see his dream not fulfilled...

On the afternoon of November 20, 2011 I was unlawfully arrested in Washington DC by the US Park Police. The key witness of the incident is a caucasion woman with light-brown hair and was travelling with with two young girls. She is assumed to be between the ages of 35 and 45 and mentioned she was traveling in town from New Orleans. The group of three were sitting in my pedicab and were attempting to hire me for a ride to a Metro station from the new Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.

This is all the information that I have and I will pay $100 to the person who is able to get me in contact with her as she is the only person to have witnessed the incident in its entirity.

I'm a 24yo male who lives a couple hours away, and am thinking of visiting at some point this month for the activities surrounding mardi gras - but what day would be best to visit?

As a 24yo male, obviously seeing boobs and debauchery is the prime motivating factor, but I don't know about what events/parades would be the most fun? I'm not a huge drinker and would probably be driving back that night, so drinking isn't much of a factor. I've been to NOLA twice before, visited the French Quarter twice, volunteered for a week post-Katrina, so I'm not just some random first-time tourist, I'm just seeking advice from locals about how to have the most fun.
