<description><![CDATA[The economic elites/property owners in New Orleans are shamelessly self-interested and motivated beyond all reason.  In 18 years I have never had a landlord return a security deposit, despite leaving places in better condition than I found them. <br>
LA landlords are scheming scum.  LA landlords are The WORST in the nation. Always have been.  Housing (Workforce housing ) in the south has always been substandard.    Louisiana has no labor laws or landlord tenant laws, except for the ones that protect business owners and landlords.  The rest of us are at their mercy and there ain't no mercy to be had...that's about the only thing you can count on with them...<br>
 but nor should they expect mercy from us when their own greedy system catches up with them...<br>
Tables may be about to turn and those with the most will lose the most.  While they're counting their money, we should be keeping score - letting each other know who is who.....<br>
Magazine and 9th, as well as the 3100 block apts. for rent now listed on CL.... Watch Out.....one of the worst in the city and that is saying a lot in this town..... incredible bigots......they work at making the lives of their tenants as miserable as possible....... makes their snotty selves feel better to have folks paying huge bucks for bull$$$hit......]]></description>

Want to find an apt that I can afford while in school and that will take me beyond. Have been keeping an eye on CL apt listings for at least 6 months and am disheartened that so many landlords are still trying to get such high rents when the market can't bear it. I too see the same postings over months and months. NOLA definitely needs rent control and some laws for renters' rights. Maybe everyone posting comments should try calling the Mayor's office (stop laughing!). ]]></description>
